US Visa

So for £112, what do you get for your interview? Well, basically, two thirty second chats with somebody who takes your finger prints. Nowhere near as frightening as I had thought; even if the embassy does have a great big golden eagle looming over the entrance ...... no, seriously!

PLEASE remember to bring EVERYTHING they ask you for. Passport, SEVIS, Photos (and there are specific selection in passport photo machines for US visa. They're NOT the same size as UK passport photos!)
On the day we drove the mighty CTC Ford Galaxy into London, nice and early and parked at St Jame's Park for a mere £22. TOP TIP when you get to the embassy, there will probably be a queue. Initially, go to the queue with the white tent at the end, the guys there will ensure you have what you need before you enter the embassy. After the 'tent queue' proceed to the longer line waiting to enter the building.

DON'T take a laptop, you won't be allowed to bring it is, but iPads and phones are perfectly fine.

Once inside, make sure you listen out for your number to be called and which desk to go to, the number will be displayed briefly on a television screen, but it's a pain waiting for it to come up.I was only in the building for about 2 hours.
